Denuding the brief of its dignity

I had to get to work early today because we had a briefing at 9 am. Before we have the briefing, my boss and I needed to have the pre-briefing briefing where we talk about how the briefing will go. After the briefing, we’ll have the post briefing briefing to talk about how the briefing went. Before we can have the pre-briefing briefing we need to have the pre pre-briefing briefing where we’ll talk about how the pre-briefing should go. After the pre-briefing briefing we’ll need to have the post pre-briefing briefing where we’ll talk about how the pre-briefing went. Before we can have the post briefing, we’ll need to have the pre post-briefing briefing where we talk about how the post briefing should go. Then we need to have the post post-briefing briefing where we talked about how the post briefing went.

Of course there is the pre-briefing for the pre pre-briefing briefing and then the post pre pre-briefing pre-briefing. And don’t forget to schedule the pre post pre-briefing briefing and the post post pre-briefing briefing.

If we don’t have a pre pre post-briefing briefing we’ll never be able to plan for the pre post-briefing briefing, so that one is a must-do. Thank goodness for the post pre post-briefing briefing, otherwise I would never know how the pre post-briefing briefing went.

Like a snake slowly eating its own tail, my day is consumed by an endless vortex of briefing-related briefings.

Oh crap! I’m late for my next meeting.
